Many were eagerly expecting "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" which was released last weekend. While it is a movie that is very entertaining, I couldn't help but think of the endangered gorillas in eastern Congo and Rwanda. According to reports from Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo, poachers have orphaned at least 6 baby gorillas in the past two weeks.The gorillas are captured either for consumption or for personal collectors from all over the world.
