The other day I was reading about Web Awards being done in many places around Africa and I was wondering when will Malawi's turn be. I got the link to this today and I really appreciate your efforts. Good JOB

these guys deserve a PLACE IN YOUR AWARDS.
mind you, two of their websiites are nominatees for your awards ie.
fairlane magazine (www.fairlanemagazine.com) and capital radio malawi (www.capitalradiomalawi.com)
they surely deserve a place.
these awards will not go down well unless you tell us why they are not nominated, they have designed and developed websites for NBS bank, MASM, Banja la Mtsogolo, CDH, FMB.... etc

Surely you need to include the Star Media guys. They are doing lots more than what you guys are nominating.

By the way, what do you mean by Malawi Journalist of the year, Some of the nominees do not qualify and are not journalists. For instance for TVM I would rather choos Thomas Chafunya than Kapusa who is not a journalist.

Thank you for leaving your comments. Geoffrey Kapusa is indeed a journalist. As you probably already know,a journalist does "The collecting, writing, editing, and presenting of news,news articles,music and/or different features in newspapers and magazines and in radio and television broadcasts" So Mr kapusa was nominated after considering his impact on viewers and especially for publicizing the Malawian culture through his program.
Note: Mr Kapusa is a NOMINEE, so there is no guarantee that he will be the winner, which also applies to Chimwemwe Ncozana,Pilirani Semu and all the other nominees.

How you make your headlines, front page, font, style, fashion, colour, dressing, body langauge and the whole contact with the viewers to make news interesting. so yes, Geoffrey Kapusa is in those advantaged part of TV News Presentation. Malawians will never change in a million years...hating on each other...I am not a Geoffrey supporter but it's not true that he is not a journalist. That is a misguided, uninformed, ignorant opinion from a hater.It is why we are behind in every area of development...we get caught up in the small details, when we dont even know what we are talking about. Its sad and shameful.
